Horseed Group's story begins with a family's need to rebuild. After our family home was destroyed in the civil war, we started by producing concrete blocks—a scarce resource in Hargeisa at the time. True to our name, which means "pioneer" in Somali, we have grown from those humble beginnings into a vibrant, family-owned business that has proudly supported the reconstruction of our nation for over 30 years.
Our growth is a testament to meeting the critical needs of our community, not only by manufacturing essential quality-building materials but also by creating valuable employment opportunities to tackle youth unemployment in Somaliland.
Today, as the leading manufacturer of concrete products, our pioneering spirit continues to drive us forward. In 2024, we launched Hilaac Readymix Concrete with a new batching plant in Hargeisa to supply the market with quality concrete. Building on that momentum, we expanded to Berbera in 2025 with a state-of-the-art facility capable of producing concrete blocks, interlocking tiles, and ready-mix concrete to serve the region's growing development. Our journey of resilience continues to fuel our mission of growth and improvement.
